Privacy policy
Short version: we keep a copy of the Airtable data you ask us to back up, for you, and nothing else.

Who we are
Nightclerk (“we”) runs the service at nightclerk.app. Contact: hello@nightclerk.app.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, and a hashed password.
- Airtable access: the token you give us or the one Airtable issues when you sign in, stored encrypted; the email of the Airtable account, to label the connection.
- Backup content: the table structure and records of the bases you choose, every day, and copies of their attachment files up to your plan's allowance. This is the service.
- Slack (optional): if you connect a channel for alerts, its incoming webhook URL, stored encrypted. We post alerts and receipts to it and nothing else.
- Billing: your plan and Stripe customer ID. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
- Technical logs: IP address and request details for security and rate limiting, kept for up to 30 days. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
To run backups, show you what changed, send the emails and Slack posts you've chosen (receipts, deletion alerts, account email), take payment, and keep the service secure. We look at backup content only when you ask for help with a specific problem. We don't sell data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

How long we keep it
Backup history is kept for your plan's window (30 days on Free, 1 year on Keeper, 3 years on Vault), then deleted automatically. When a trial or paid plan ends, the full history is kept for 30 more days before the Free window applies. Removing a base or connection deletes its backups immediately. Deleting your account deletes everything immediately, apart from our database provider's recovery copies, which expire within 7 days, and billing records we must keep for tax purposes.
Your rights
You can download all of your data at any time (Settings → Account → Download your data), correct your account details in Settings, and delete everything yourself. If you're in the EU, UK or California you have additional rights (access, portability, objection, complaint to your regulator); email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect.
